Bergen International Film Festival in Bergen
Bergen International Film Festival, known as BIFF, is Norway's leading documentary-focused film festival, held annually in late October in Bergen. Founded in 2000 when Bergen served as European Capital of Culture, BIFF has grown into one of the biggest film festivals in Norway and a significant documentary showcase in the Nordic region, screening around 120 films to more than 55,000 admissions each edition.
Bergen International Film Festival began in 2000, the year Bergen held the title of European Capital of Culture alongside eight other cities across Europe.
