Kosmorama Trondheim International Film Festival in Trondheim
Kosmorama Trondheim International Film Festival was established in 2004 at the initiative of Trondheim municipality, with Trondheim Kino proposing the idea in autumn 2003. Its first edition ran April 12-17, 2005. Named after the Kosmorama Theater, one of Trondheim's first large cinemas, opened in 1910, the festival pairs public screenings with industry-focused events aimed at strengthening Central Norway's film sector.
Kosmorama Trondheim International Film Festival owes both its existence and its name to a specific civic decision.
