Lahore International Book Fair in Lahore
The Lahore International Book Fair, founded in 1987, is an annual five-day book fair organized by the Lahore International Book Fair Trust and the Pakistan Publishers and Booksellers Association. Held at the Expo Center in Johar Town, it draws around 165 local and foreign publishers and enforces a zero-tolerance policy on pirated books.
Lahore has long functioned as the center of Pakistan's publishing industry, with the city credited in press coverage with producing more than eighty percent of the country's books.
