Children Literature Festival Pakistan in Multi-city
The Children's Literature Festival (CLF) is a nationwide Pakistani initiative launched in November 2011 by Idara-e-Taleem-o-Aagahi (ITA) to promote reading, creativity and critical thinking among children. Held across all four provincial capitals, Islamabad and more than two dozen districts, it has reached over 1.4 million children and teachers, and has since been rebranded as the Pakistan Learning Festival (PLF).
In November 2011, educationist Baela Raza Jamil, working through Idara-e-Taleem-o-Aagahi (ITA), launched the Children's Literature Festival with a specific diagnosis in mind: Pakistan's children needed more experiential, multi-sensory platforms for reading, creativity and imagination than conventional schooling was providing.
