Minuluan Festival in Talisay City, Negros Occidental, conceptualized in 1999, reclaims the town's original 1788 Malay settlement name to celebrate ancestral and sugarcane heritage. Held every September 4 to 10, culminating on the feast of patron San Nicolas de Tolentino, it features tribal drumbeat competitions and ancestral craftsmanship displays.

In 1788, Malay families settled the coastal area that would eventually become Talisay City, naming their community Minuluan, a name that remained in use for over a century before Catholic church authorities decreed the settlement a formal town in 1850 under the patronage of San Nicolas de Tolentino, and before it was renamed Talisay around 1901.
