Castle Party Bolkow in Bolkow

Castle Party is one of Europe's largest gothic rock festivals, held every mid-July inside Bolkow Castle in southwestern Poland since it outgrew its original home at nearby Grodziec Castle in the mid-1990s. Running across four days each mid-July, it fills Bolkow Castle and the surrounding town with gothic rock, industrial, and darkwave performances and a costumed crowd.

Castle Party held its first edition in 1994, not yet at its current home but at Grodziec Castle in southwestern Poland, where roughly 300 attendees watched five bands, some only just beginning their careers, in what was then a modest gathering rather than the substantial festival it later became.
