Belver Medieval Fair in Belver/Gavião
The Belver Medieval Fair is an annual historical reenactment fair held each June in the village of Belver, part of Gaviao municipality in the Alto Alentejo, now in its twenty-first edition, staged beneath the thirteenth-century Belver Castle built by the Knights Hospitaller on the banks of the Tagus river.
Belver Castle has stood above the Tagus river in the Alto Alentejo since the early thirteenth century, built by the Order of the Hospitallers after King D.
