Lisbon Book Fair in Lisbon
The Lisbon Book Fair fills Parque Eduardo VII, the city's largest park, with rows of publisher stands each late spring. Running continuously since 1930, the fair reached its 96th edition in 2026, spreading roughly 350 stands across the park's terraces from late May into mid-June. Entry is free, drawing families, students and browsers alongside serious book buyers for three weeks of programming in central Lisbon.
Each year, as Lisbon's days stretch longer and the jacaranda trees around Parque Eduardo VII finish their purple bloom, workers begin assembling long rows of open-sided stands along the park's terraced paths.
