Porto Design Biennale in Porto

Porto Design Biennale turns the city into a temporary showcase for product, graphic and spatial design, with exhibitions and installations spread across museums, galleries and repurposed industrial buildings. It gathers Portuguese and international studios in one program, so a single pass through the host venues can cover a wide range of contemporary design work without needing a car or a packed itinerary.

Porto does not have a dedicated design museum on the scale of London or Milan, so every edition of the Porto Design Biennale has to invent its exhibition spaces from scratch, borrowing palaces, disused warehouses and municipal buildings across the historic center.
