Mercado dos Descobrimentos, or Discoveries Market, is an annual historical reenactment fair in Viana do Castelo themed on Portugal's sixteenth-century Age of Discoveries, launched in 2023 as a relaunch of the town's earlier medieval fair and staged each June around Forte Santiago da Barra with a different historical year as its theme.

Viana do Castelo's historic center, anchored by Forte Santiago da Barra at the mouth of the Lima river, had for years hosted a general medieval fair before the town's organizers, Vianafestas, working with the city council and the regional tourism board, relaunched the concept in 2023 as something more specific: a market themed not on a generic Middle Ages but on Portugal's sixteenth-century Age of Discoveries, the era when Portuguese ships were charting new routes across the Atlantic and Indian Oceans.
