Fiestas Patronales de San Sebastian in San Sebastian
The mountain town of San Sebastián holds its Fiestas Patronales de San Sebastián each January, honoring its namesake saint with parades, rides, and regional food, plus its own largest annual draw, the Festival de la Novilla (Heifer Festival), featuring cows decorated with flowers. It is distinct from Old San Juan's better-known Calle San Sebastián street festival.
Every January, two festivals bearing the name San Sebastián draw crowds in Puerto Rico, and it is easy for anyone outside the island to conflate them.
