Kinoshock is an open film festival for cinema from the former Soviet republics and the Baltic states, held each September in the Black Sea resort town of Anapa since 1992. Founded by actress Irina Shevchuk, screenwriter Viktor Merezhko and critic Sergei Novozhilov, it has grown into one of the most respected post-Soviet film forums, combining competitive screenings with open-air shows, actor meetings and events across Krasnodar region.
