Vertep Christmas Festival Kolomna in Kolomna
Kolomna's Vertep festival, held each January across the Kolomna Kremlin and the Liga cultural center, brings traditional Russian nativity puppet theater and Christmas folk music to the city over three days. Now run 27 times, the festival has drawn more than 80,000 viewers and 180 theater and music groups, with a closing day dedicated to performances at local social institutions.
