Krasnoyarsk Book Culture Fair in Krasnoyarsk
KRYaKK, the Krasnoyarsk Book Culture Fair, is one of Siberia's largest publishing and literary events, held annually in Krasnoyarsk since 2007. Founded with backing tied to businessman Mikhail Prokhorov's cultural foundation, it draws publishers, authors and readers from across Russia for a multi-day program of book presentations, panel discussions and children's literary events.
When KRYaKK launched in 2007, Krasnoyarsk was an unlikely site for a major literary event: a Siberian industrial city several time zones from Moscow, better known for metallurgy and hydroelectric power than publishing.
