Kazachya Stanitsa Moscow in Moscow
Kazachya Stanitsa Moscow is an international festival of Cossack culture staged each September at the Kolomenskoye museum-reserve in Moscow. Spread across roughly a dozen interactive zones, it combines theatrical performances, traditional Cossack songs and displays of horsemanship with a reconstructed nineteenth-century Cossack military encampment, complete with period uniforms and everyday camp life.
Kolomenskoye, with its whitewashed churches and sweeping river views, already carries centuries of Moscow's own royal history within its grounds.
