Russian Field Festival in Moscow

Russian Field is billed as the largest festival of Slavic art in Russia and Europe, held annually at Poklonnaya Hill in Moscow's Victory Park since 2012. It gathers folk ensembles, craftspeople, poets, and regional food producers to showcase the customs of the many peoples living across Russia.

Poklonnaya Hill has been a site of public memory in Moscow since the nineteenth century, long before it became Victory Park in the twentieth, and the choice to hold a festival of Slavic and pan-Russian folk art on that ground ties the event to a place already associated with national commemoration.
