Signal Festival in Nikola-Lenivets
Signal is an electronic and experimental music festival at the Nikola-Lenivets art park in Kaluga Oblast, Europe's largest art park, founded as an art site in 2000 by sculptor Nikolai Polissky. Running alongside the park's better-known architecture festival Archstoyanie, Signal has hosted acts including Glushkov and Miroliubov and Fogh Depot.
Nikola-Lenivets began in 2000 not as a festival site but as an art project, when sculptor Nikolai Polissky started building large-scale land-art installations in and around the village, drawing other artists to contribute works using local materials like wood and straw across the surrounding fields and forest.
