Visitors build their own route, choosing timed entries at several venues rather than staying in one place, from grand stops like the Hermitage and Mariinsky Palace to newer participants such as the Zoological Museum and Smolny Cathedral. Some locations open only in the evening, while others welcome people from six in the evening until six the next morning.
