The story

Tanween in Dhahran

Tanween was Ithra's annual creative and design festival in Dhahran, running its eighth and final edition in November 2025 with exhibitions, workshops, markets and talks exploring design and innovation, before Ithra announced at that closing event that the program would be rebranded as Ithra Design Week starting with a new edition in 2026.

For eight years, Tanween gave Dhahran's Ithra cultural center its signature annual moment on the design calendar, a gathering built to showcase where Saudi Arabia's creative economy was heading.
