Films Femmes Afrique is an annual Dakar-based film festival dedicated to African women in cinema, screening dozens of features, documentaries, and shorts by and about African women. Beyond its Dakar home base, the festival tours to a dozen towns across Senegal, extending screenings and debate well past the capital each edition.

Films Femmes Afrique began as an answer to a persistent imbalance in African cinema: women directors, producers, and technicians have long made significant work while receiving a fraction of the screen time, funding, and critical attention given to their male counterparts.
