Kustendorf Film and Music Festival, founded in 2008 by film director Emir Kusturica, is held each January in Drvengrad, the wooden village he built on Mecavnik hill near Mokra Gora for his film Life Is a Miracle. Deliberately anti-glamour, with no red carpet or advertising, it centers on independent and student filmmaking.
