IFF Art Film Košice in Košice
IFF Art Film, previously known as Artfilm and Art Film Fest, is Slovakia's longest continuously running international film festival, founded in Trenčianske Teplice in 1993 under UNESCO auspices. Relocated to Košice in 2016, it traditionally runs June 14 to 22 and presents awards including Actor's Mission, Golden Camera and Blue Angel.
On June 14, 1993, just months after Czechoslovakia's dissolution split the country into Slovakia and the Czech Republic, a new film festival opened its first edition in the spa town of Trenčianske Teplice under the auspices of UNESCO.
