Kremnica Gags in Kremnica
Kremnicke gagy (Kremnica Gags), subtitled the European Festival of Humour and Satire, is an international multi-genre festival held in late August in Kremnica since 1981. Known as Slovenske gagy until 1998, it is the only long-running festival in Central Europe focused specifically on independent comedy and satire.
Kremnica, a small central Slovak town famous as the site of the world's oldest continuously operating mint, has hosted Kremnicke gagy, the European Festival of Humour and Satire, every late August since 1981, making it one of the country's longest-running cultural festivals.
