The story

Bled Arts and Crafts Fair in Bled

The Bled Arts and Crafts Fair is a recurring outdoor market organised by the Bled Tourist Board in the SPA Park beside Lake Bled, running on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays through the summer season and on public holidays, extending into early October. Around fourteen craftspeople exhibit and sell handmade Slovenian goods, from woodwork and glass to hand-painted items and jewellery, often demonstrating their techniques on site.

The Bled Arts and Crafts Fair grew out of the Bled Tourist Board's efforts to give visitors to Lake Bled, one of Slovenia's most visited natural landmarks, direct access to the region's traditional handicrafts rather than leaving craft sales to scattered individual shops around the town.

What is special

The part that makes it specific.

01

The place changes

Unlike a one-off festival, the Bled Arts and Crafts Fair operates as a recurring weekend fixture across most of the tourist season, giving both repeat visitors and short-stay tourists in Bled multiple chances to attend

02

The mystery stays covered

Its roughly fourteen participating craftspeople do not simply sell finished goods but actively demonstrate their techniques to visitors, turning the market into a hands-on introduction to traditional Slovenian craft methods such as woodworking, glasswork, hand-painting, and jewellery-making

03

The city starts moving

Set within the SPA Park directly beside Lake Bled, one of Slovenia's most photographed landscapes, the fair combines a shopping opportunity with the scenic backdrop that draws most visitors to Bled in the first place, making it a natural stop for tourists already exploring the lakefront
