Cordoba Fair in Cordoba
Cordoba's week-long spring fair, held each late May at the Arenal fairground beside the Guadalquivir river, built around temporary casetas hosting flamenco dancing, sherry and horse parades. Timed a few weeks after the city's separate Patios Festival, it follows the broader Andalusian feria template but with more open access to its pavilions than Seville's comparable event.
Cordoba's fair grew out of a religious feast dedicated to Our Lady of Health in the nineteenth century into the modern Feria de Cordoba, a week-long celebration each late May built around a dedicated fairground of casetas, temporary pavilions where families, clubs and associations host music, dancing and food through the afternoon and night.
