A carnival Monday tradition in Santa Cruz de la Palma reenacting the homecoming of Canary Island emigrants who made their fortunes in the Caribbean. Crowds dress in white linen and lace, parade to Cuban-style music, then erupt into a mass talcum powder fight that leaves the whole square coated in white dust.
