Norrkoping Culture Night (Kulturnatten) is Norrkoping's edition of the Nordic 'culture night' tradition, an evening event when museums, theaters, and cultural venues across the city open with free or low-cost programming. It follows a format shared with Kulturnatt events in Umea, Gothenburg, Lund, Uppsala, and other Swedish cities.
Across the Nordic countries, a shared civic tradition has taken hold over recent decades: the culture night, or Kulturnatt, an evening when a city's museums, theaters, libraries, and galleries open their doors together, often free of charge, inviting residents to spend an evening moving between venues rather than choosing just one.
