Stockholm International Film Festival is an annual event held in the second half of November each year since its founding in 1990. Focused on emerging and early-career filmmakers, it awards the Bronze Horse prize to its international competition winner alongside several other honors, including a Lifetime Achievement Award.

Stockholm International Film Festival was founded in 1990 by three film enthusiasts, Git Scheynius, Kim Klein and Ignas Scheynius, who built the event around a clear identity from its very first edition.
