Uppakra Viking Market in Uppakra

Uppakra is one of Scandinavia's most significant Iron Age archaeological sites, a settlement occupied from around 100 AD to the late 900s or early 1000s near present-day Lund. The Uppakra Arkeologiska Center, opened in 2014, promotes public access to the find site.

A few kilometres south of Lund, in what is now Staffanstorp Municipality, lies one of Scandinavia's most important archaeological discoveries: Uppakra, a settlement occupied from around 100 AD through the late 900s or early 1000s, spanning roughly the entire Iron Age and reaching into the early Viking period before it was eclipsed by the rise of nearby Lund.
