Caribana Festival in Crans-près-Céligny
Caribana Festival brings reggae, Latin, Brazilian and Afro-Caribbean music to the shore of Lake Geneva each June at Crans-pres-Celigny, between Geneva and Nyon. Founded in 1990, it draws tens of thousands of attendees for a multi-day program built around live music, a Brazilian-style carnival parade with costumed dancers and samba groups, and on-site camping that gives the festival a beach-village atmosphere.
