Nuit Blanche Taipei in Taipei
Nuit Blanche Taipei, known locally as Baizhou zhi Ye (White Day Night), is Taipei's version of the international all-night contemporary art festival, launched in 2015 and rotating each year to a different city district, offering free overnight public art installations and performances.
Nuit Blanche began in Paris in 2002 as a simple but disorienting idea: keep the city open and lit through the night, and fill it with free contemporary art, turning ordinary streets, courtyards and buildings into a single overnight gallery.
