The Bo Sang Umbrella Festival is a three-day celebration held every third weekend of January in Bo Sang, a village outside Chiang Mai renowned for handmade, brightly painted paper and silk umbrellas and parasols, alongside the Miss Bo Sang beauty pageant and a village-wide craft parade.

Bo Sang is a small village on the outskirts of Chiang Mai, in San Kamphaeng district, whose identity has become inseparable from a single craft: brightly painted paper and silk umbrellas and parasols made and sold there for generations.
