Pak Nam Pho Chinese New Year in Nakhon Sawan
Nakhon Sawan's Chinese New Year festival, known as Pak Nam Pho after the city's old name, marked its 110th anniversary in 2026 with twelve days and nights of celebration. It centers on the Chao Pho-Chao Mae Pak Nam Pho shrine and is famous nationally for its record-length golden dragon parade.
Nakhon Sawan sits at the confluence of several major rivers that form the Chao Phraya, and its old name, Pak Nam Pho, refers to that river-mouth geography.
