The story
National Junior Carnival in Port of Spain/San Fernando
National Junior Carnival, commonly known locally as Kiddies Carnival, is the children's parade of the bands staged in the days before Trinidad's main Carnival, with parades in Port of Spain and San Fernando judged by the National Carnival Commission.
Junior Carnival gives children and school-age masqueraders their own scaled-down parade of the bands, complete with costumed sections, music trucks and judged competition categories, mirroring the adult Carnival Monday and Tuesday parade structure
