Festival des Arts Plastiques de Monastir in Monastir
The Festival International des Arts Plastiques de Monastir is a visual-arts festival founded in 2003 and organized by the Association of Fine Arts of Monastir. Its 20th edition ran June 22-30, 2024, under the theme Monastir, Fragrance of Colors, drawing more than 60 artists from 22 countries.
Monastir is best known to most travelers for its ribat fortress, mausoleum of Habib Bourguiba, and Mediterranean beaches, but since 2003 the coastal city has also hosted one of Tunisia's longer-running international visual-arts gatherings.
