What is special

The part that makes it specific.

01

The place changes

The festival shares its biennial rhythm with the Carthage Film Days, alternating years so the two flagship Tunisian arts festivals do not compete for organizational resources or audience attention, a structural pairing that has held since JTC's 1983 founding by the Ministry of Cultural Affairs

02

The mystery stays covered

Its 26th edition alone featured more than eighty performances drawn from Tunisia, the wider Arab world, Africa, and international companies, positioning the festival as a genuine meeting space for experimentation and critical reflection among Arab, African, and Mediterranean theater-makers rather than a purely domestic showcase
