Yasmine Hammamet International Carnival in Yasmine Hammamet
The Carnaval International de Yasmine Hammamet fills the resort town's streets each spring with parading floats, costumed troupes, and international performance groups, unofficially marking the start of the Tunisian tourist season. Founded around 2014, the carnival reached its tenth edition in April 2025 under the theme La Joie de Vivre, drawing roughly 700 to 800 participating artists from Tunisia and abroad for three days of street spectacle.
Yasmine Hammamet is a purpose-built resort district south of the older town of Hammamet, developed from the 1990s onward around a marina, hotel strip, and pedestrian promenade aimed squarely at international beach tourism.
