The story

Adana Culture Road Festival in Adana

The Adana Culture Road Festival is Adana's stop on the Turkiye Kultur Yolu Festivali. In the program's 2024 calendar Adana opened the national season in April alongside its long-running Portakal Cicegi Karnavali, Orange Blossom Carnival; in the 2026 calendar the national program is instead scheduled to close in Adana around mid-November.

Adana sits on the wide, fertile Cukurova plain, a landscape of citrus orchards, cotton fields and the Seyhan river running through the city past the Roman-era Tas Kopru, a stone bridge still in use after roughly two thousand years.

01

The place changes

Adana's festival has shifted position within the national calendar between editions: in 2024 it opened the year's Kultur Yolu season in April, timed with the city's own long-running Portakal Cicegi Karnavali, when citrus orchards around the city bloom, while national coverage of the 2026 program instead places the festival's season finale in Adana in mid-November, with the year's circuit beginning in Sanliurfa in April 2026

The mystery stays covered

Either way, the festival draws on Adana's identity as a fertile agricultural plain city on the Seyhan river, famous nationally for its spicy Adana kebabi and its citrus groves
