Ankara Culture Road Festival in Ankara
Part of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism's nationwide Turkiye Kultur Yolu Festivali, Ankara's September edition uses historic sites across the capital, including Ankara Kalesi, the Museum of Anatolian Civilizations, and the Temple of Augustus, for exhibitions, concerts, and literary talks, including a 2024 Picasso ceramics show and an Andy Warhol retrospective.
When the Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism launched the nationwide Turkiye Kultur Yolu Festivali in 2021, starting with Istanbul's Beyoglu district, the program was built to expand city by city, and by the time it reached 16 cities in 2024, Ankara's edition had become one of its most historically rich, thanks to the sheer density of ancient and Ottoman-era sites clustered in the capital's old city.
