The story

Sakarya Culture Road Festival in Sakarya

The Sakarya Culture Road Festival marked Sakarya's first time hosting the Turkiye Kultur Yolu Festivali, as the ninth stop of the 2026 national calendar. Held 4 to 12 July at the city's Millet Bahcesi and other venues, it brought concerts, exhibitions, theater and craft workshops to a province better known for its river valleys than for festival tourism.

In 2021, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism lit what officials describe as a single cultural torch in one city to launch the Turkiye Kultur Yolu Festivali.
