The Turkish World Culture Festival in Yalova celebrates the shared heritage of Turkic-speaking peoples across Central Asia and the Caucasus, a theme increasingly promoted by Turkish municipalities in step with Turkey's cultural diplomacy toward the Organization of Turkic States, staged in this small Marmara coast thermal-spa province.
Since the 1990s, Turkey has actively promoted cultural ties with the newly independent Turkic-speaking states of Central Asia and the Caucasus, formalizing this cooperation through bodies such as TURKSOY, the joint administration of Turkic art and culture, and later the Organization of Turkic States.
