The part that makes it specific.

01

The place changes

The festival's authority comes from its direct sponsorship by Ker Kwaro Acholi, the recognized traditional institution of the Acholi people, with the Paramount Chief personally launching each edition and setting its theme, most recently Celebrating and Promoting Acholi Heritage for Socio-economic Development

02

The mystery stays covered

Central to the program is the Bwola dance, a royal Acholi dance tradition performed by troupes from across Acholi subregion districts including Agago, alongside craft displays and cuisine representing the wider community

03

The city starts moving

Its five-year COVID-era hiatus, ending with the fourth edition in December 2024, underscores how significant a break the pandemic caused for one of Northern Uganda's largest recurring cultural gatherings
