Docudays UA in Kyiv

DocuDays UA is Ukraine's only human rights documentary film festival, held free of charge each March in Kyiv since 2004. Growing out of a 2003 touring event called Human Rights Film Days, it screens documentaries addressing a different human rights theme every year and pairs its main program with audio description, adapted subtitles, and sign-language interpretation to keep every screening accessible.

DocuDays UA traces its roots to 2003, when the Ukrainian Helsinki Human Rights Union and several partner organizations organized a touring program called Human Rights Film Days, screening documentaries in Lviv, Odesa, Kharkiv, and Donetsk around themes like refugee rights and children's and women's rights.
