Humorina Odesa in Odesa

Humorina is Odesa's annual festival of humor, held on and around April Fools' Day since 1973, when it emerged from the disbanded Odesa KVN comedy team. Marked by a large street parade, comedians, clowns, and citywide pranks, it remains one of Ukraine's most distinctive civic celebrations.

Humorina traces its origin to 1972, when Odesa's KVN comedy team, faced with the discontinuation of the popular all-Union KVN contests and television show, decided in protest to create its own dedicated festival of laughter rather than let their comedic tradition disappear.
