Tustan Festival in Urych

Tu Stan! is Ukraine's oldest continuously running historical festival, held since 2006 at the Tustan state historical-cultural reserve near the village of Urych in the Carpathian foothills. It recreates the life of the medieval rock fortress-city that stood on the site from the 9th to the 16th century.

High in the Skole Beskids of the Carpathians, above the village of Urych, a line of sheer sandstone cliffs still carries the postholes and beam-sockets of a fortress that has not stood for five hundred years.
