Zaporizhzhia Book Toloka in Zaporizhzhia
The Zaporizhzhia Book Toloka is a literary festival founded in 2014, described as the main book event of Southeastern Ukraine, normally held over three days at the Cossack Palace exhibition center with a book fair, master classes, and documentary screenings. Zaporizhzhia is a frontline city under frequent drone and missile attack, and no clear evidence of an in-person edition since 2022 could be found.
The Zaporizhzhia Book Toloka was founded in 2014, its concept born at a meeting of the Assembly of Cultural Figures of Zaporizhzhia region, and it grew over the following years into what regional cultural sources describe as the main literary event of Southeastern Ukraine.
