Abu Dhabi Poetry Festival in Abu Dhabi

The Abu Dhabi Poetry Festival is a young but fast-growing event held each February at ADNEC, organized by the Abu Dhabi Heritage Authority under the patronage of Crown Prince Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. Its inaugural 2025 edition drew over a thousand poets, writers, and researchers and around fifteen thousand visitors, and the 2026 edition tied its programming to the Year of the Family initiative.

Poetry has carried unusual cultural weight in the Arabian Peninsula for centuries, from pre-Islamic oral traditions to the Nabati verse composed and recited by Bedouin communities across the Gulf.
