SOWEBO Arts and Music Festival in Baltimore
SOWEBO Arts and Music Festival takes over the streets around Hollins Market in Southwest Baltimore every Memorial Day weekend Sunday, running free from noon to eight in the evening. Now more than four decades old, the festival mixes indie rock, soul, jazz and hip hop performances with a local artist marketplace and Baltimore food trucks, staying rooted specifically in the surrounding Southwest Baltimore neighborhood's own identity.
Hollins Market in Southwest Baltimore, one of the city's oldest public markets, becomes the anchor for a free neighborhood arts festival every year on the Sunday of Memorial Day weekend, a tradition SOWEBO Arts and Music Festival has kept for more than four decades.
