Eastern Idaho State Fair in Blackfoot
Held over Labor Day week at the Eastern Idaho State Fairgrounds in Blackfoot since 1902, the Eastern Idaho State Fair pairs a carnival midway and 200-plus exhibits with the Gem State Classic Pro Rodeo and a Best Fair Food contest. What began as a livestock show now draws roughly a quarter million visitors across its nine-day run.
The Eastern Idaho State Fair began in 1902 as a livestock show in Blackfoot, a small agricultural community in the Snake River Plain that has hosted the fair on the same fairgrounds ever since.
