Georgia Mountain Storytelling Festival in Blairsville
The Georgia Mountain Storytelling Festival brings nationally known and local storytellers to Blairsville each April for two days of Appalachian oral tradition, workshops, and children's programming. Founded by longtime resident Amanda Lawrence and reaching its twelfth annual edition around 2026, the nonprofit event preserves stories passed down through generations.
Its Appalachian storytelling identity makes it a meaningful literature/culture row.
